I’m so excited to share with you my first ever holiday gift guide! I spent weeks (and many sleepless nights) carefully curating this list so that I could bring you the best Black-owned products I know you all would love! There’s something for everyone on your list – from your significant other, to your parents, in-laws, siblings, friends, children + so much more! This guide highlights items from over 110+ small independent and well established Black-owned businesses including a few from my own family and friends. There’s also a variety of price points covered so that you’re able to find something no matter what your budget is.
If you’ve been a reader of mine or following me on social media for awhile, you know how passionate I am about supporting Black-owned businesses. Years of systemic racism and economic disparities already put these establishments at a disadvantage, but the added weight from COVID-19 has made things particularly worse. Over 440,000 Black-owned companies have closed for good this year due to the pandemic with several more projected to do the same. As consumers, we have the power to better distribute wealth in America and effect long-term change. Rather than shopping at your favorite major retailer this year, think about supporting a Black-owned business by purchasing your gifts directly from them instead.
